2.2013.INSTAGRAM

One day, I'll post some super sized HD images of my ~lewks~ but for now, just accept the janky ones I take with my iPhone. Anywho, lately I've just been really amplified with my garb. Like, I really take pride now. I plan my outfits the night before and wake up all refreshed knowing I have my outfit for the day. I blame the fact that it's, technically,  my "senior year" at school and the classes I'm taking are more self reliant. So it's just me waltzing in looking fly as fuck with my black tool box ready to werk~. Now onto the lewks*~

Xander Zhou FW1314

I think I have found my absolute favorite collection for the season. Ugh, it's beyond everything I adore: interesting clothing that's conceptual while remaining true to typical menswear shapes but moving forward. I loved it all.
I loved the tailoring found here and the jackets made me squeal like a five year old at Disneyland! The inner fur lining exposed is so perfect and it makes everything I own appear so basic. Ha. I even enjoyed the longer pieces which is something I'm noticing more from menswear designers. It balanced the entire collection well and the colors chosen for each piece was smart and clean. Though the pieces with wording tied it all nicely, like a cherry on a sundae. Now get on my body.

James Long FW1314

Okay, um, can these sweaters just magically appear on my beautiful body or something?! It's like, the beauty of everything I love: sweaters, Divine, and John Waters all rolled into one. I just can't. I can't.

Sibling S13

Now this collection has brought me back a bit. All the way back to my middle school days (circa 2004~) when Baby Bash and Lil' Flip was taking up the radio waves and Baby Phat was a thing. Remember? Man, all the girlies would just about gag for that damn cat on their Baby Girl bomber jackets. Haha, good times.
So anyways, I adore Sibling and their knit wear is always on point. Now I talked about Baby Phat because holy hale did those calf length track pants totally scream Kimora! But, some nine years later, I actually want a pair. Though I know if I wear me a pair of them fly ass pants, I'll look like something out of Malibu's Most Wanted. Though I thuroughly enjoyed this collection and I enjoyed seeing the conitunation of having the models' faces hidden.

MAN F13

What can I say? This collection was three parts of pure perfection. It tapped into my Biggie-P.Diddy-Bad Boys-90's vibes and my dark androgynous vibes with a hint of ~*gothic princess-ness*~
I had never heard of MAN prior to this collection but I'm quite glad I have. The styles of the designers really blend nicely together to create a song instead of having just one voice take over. As I stated, I really enjoyed  the track suits which brought me back to the late 90's and early 2000's. Very Rocawear and Sean John.
Though I wasn't expecting to see the black and creme pieces which just kind of certified my eyes to be glued to the screen and my ass on the chair. I loved the blend of matte and shiny fabrics to bring the clothing to life.
This is one label I'm looking forward to seeing more of in the future and can only wait patiently to see whats next. And I think I'm in love with Astrid Anderson.

1.2013

I had intended on showcasing my first "outfit" of the semester yesterday but since the first thing I did when I got home was take a long ass nap, I forgot. Whoops. *Kanye shrug* I figured I'd showcase tonight's ensemble to make up for it and since I'm retaking a class, I knew dressing up would be the only thing motivating me to even show up.
Anyways, today was as chilly as my catty side, so I decided to bundle up. And since I live in LA, bundling up simply means wearing a long sleeve-something. I paired my 90's Anchor Blue (vintage AB is the best, I gag whenever I find something AB while thrifting) cholo ombre plaid button down with a plain black tee (a la Prada 2011) and my leather jacket. For accessories, I wore my new chunky chain necklace under the collar and dog-tag necklace my baby boy got me for XXX-Mas. I also wore my black flatforms I got at Topshop but sadly, I didn't feel like photographing them. Though I was the epitomy of a witchy-cholo-Spice Girl, lemme tell you.

My friends, whom I like to call the 'Rodarte sisters' because they're always together, got me this super rad beanie! I got one for my boo for Christmas and almost kept it because I loved it but when I saw they pulled it out and gave it to me, I nearly shit myself. It's so cute and I love it! They're super sweet and awesome!

EXPOSED SEAMS, MAN

Thank you, fashion Gods~
You know when you're like, "I'd really like a (insert desired item of clothing here) but I really don't need it and I'm not willing to spend more than like, twenty doll-hairs for it." So then you kind of forget about it and go on living your life but then you randomly walk into some store (like H&M) and BAM, there's the desired article of clothing for like, really cheap. Yeah, that's basically what happened to me today.
My style has become a bit more darker since I last gave a shit and I've really started to appreciate deconstructed clothing and clothing that's just a bit more interesting to look at. So, when H&M teamed up with Maison Martin Margiela, my little heart went boom. And it went and fell out of my butt when I realized that a lot of the stuff wasn't being sold due to it's ~weird~ persona thus, having a lot of the stuff going on sale.
So today, Jesus and his pals gave me the gift of light washed denim pants with exposed seams from Margiela's S.S 2005 collection.
I normally only wear black jeans (because I'm ~so goth~, now) but when I saw this image, I kind of felt inspired to own a pair of light washed denim pants and give the look a shot. So when I saw these bad boys for fifteen bucks, I knew I needed them.

I was too tired to bust out an outfit so I just paired them with my "Sporty Spice" stackers, haha
